How to calculate your Asian gold value
Using our online scrap gold price calculator is easy. You will just need two pieces of information to use this calculator.
- Your gold weight.
- The purity of your gold (carat).
Split your gold by carats/purity and weigh each carat separately. So if you have two 22 carat rings and three 24 carat rings, weigh all the 22 carat rings together and select ‘22ct Gold’ from the ‘Item’ drop-down menu, then enter the total weight into the calculator. You can then click the ‘+ Add More’ button to add a new line and enter the same information for 24ct. Enter your details and we will email a price to you instantly.
I don’t know the purity or weight of my gold?
Don’t worry, you can post your gold to us or bring it in-store, and we can do the hard work for you

Cheshire’s Leading Asian Gold Buyer
Indian and Asian gold jewellery is usually made from high purity gold, often made in the range of 22 carat – 24 carat pure gold. This high gold content is what gives Indian jewellery its rich yellow colour and the high value that is associated with this high gold content. Traditional Indian gold jewellery features very elaborate and intricate designs.
Gold holds immense cultural significance in Asian and Indian cultures. The gold jewellery symbolises wealth, status and prosperity. In India, gold plays a key part of wedding rituals representing purity and blessings for a prosperous marriage. During festivals like Diwali and Akshaya Tritiya, buying gold is considered auspicious. In many Asian cultures, gold is gifted for significant life events.
Looking to Sell Asian Gold Without Hallmarks?
As laws in South Asian countries are more relaxed than the UK, gold jewellery they produce can often be without hallmarks, or the stamped hallmarks may not be accurate. Selling Asian gold without hallmarks can be challenging in the UK for various reasons such as, the ability for the buyer to accurately identify the gold content, and the legislation in the UK around selling gold without hallmarks, both these issues can impact the price you get paid for your Indian jewellery. Look no further, as Cheshire Gold Xchange has all the specialist knowledge and equipment to accurately analyse and price your un-hallmarked gold bracelets, necklaces, and bangles.
At Cheshire Gold Xchange we have a highly specialist piece of equipment, an XRF scanner. This is a state-of-the-art metal analyser that uses X-ray technology to precisely determine the elemental composition of your item. This allows us to accurately and fairly price your jewellery based on its actual gold content. Choosing a gold buyer with the right equipment, like our XRF scanner, ensures you receive a fair and accurate assessment of your Asian jewellery’s value. This technology eliminates guesswork, offering you confidence and peace of mind when selling your precious items.
